Kimi’s Celebrates 5th Anniversary

Kimi’s Chop & Oyster House is celebrating its 5th anniversary at their Sugarhouse location this month. To help celebrate the 5th birthday and the beginning of a 6th year in business, Kimi’s will host a special Customer Appreciation 5th Birthday Jazz Celebration on Thursday, October 24th, from 6:30 to 9:30 pm. The Jazz Celebration will feature vocalist Richard Tripp and the David Halliday JVQ Jazz Band. Happy anniversary to Kimi and all of her terrific team!

Fratelli Fights Hunger

On Sunday, November 10th, Fratelli Ristorante in Sandy will host its 12th annual Fratelli Fights Hunger Dinner – a special evening to benefit the Utah Food Bank. The multi-course dinner will include selected wine pairings (optional) and seatings are available from 5:00 pm to 8:00 pm. Fratelli’s will also be hosting a silent auction during the evening. The cost for the Fratelli Fights Hunger Dinner is $50 per person for food and $50 for the optional wine pairings. A full bar selection will also be available for an additional cost.

Wasatch Community Gardens @ 30

Wasatch Community Gardens celebrates its 30 anniversary this month – a remarkable feat. To mark the occasion WCG will host a “community-embracing bash” on Thursday, October 24th from 6 to 9 pm at The Union Event Center (235 North 500 West).

According to the organizers, “This event will acknowledge the organizations’ achievements, while also providing a platform for a major announcement about its future, and specifically its goal to build a new Wasatch Community Gardens’ Campus.”

For the past 30 years, WCG has served thousands of Wasatch Front residents with a focus on teaching kids and adults to grow, prepare and eat fresh, organic fruits and vegetables through numerous WCG programs.

The anniversary celebration will feature live music, light appetizers, harvest games and a presentation at 7:00 pm. Tickets are $10 and can be purchased at wasatchgardens.org.
