Tupelo Park City Brunch
Brunch on the patio at Tupelo Park City has returned and can be enjoyed by your brunch bunch every Saturday and Sunday from 11 a.m. to 2 p.m.
Kick off brunch with buttermilk biscuits and honey butter or maybe ricotta fritters before moving on to fabulous favorites like roasted Idaho Rainbow trout; chicken & biscuits with black pepper gravy; smoked chicken hash; BBQ pork tenderloin with cheddar grits; or perhaps the Tupelo grain bowl. Of course, more traditional brunch and breakfast items like buttermilk pancakes, French toast, and acai bowls are also available, not to mention bodacious Bloody Marys, mimosas and more.
Avenues Street Fair Returns
One of my favorite soirees of summer is the annual Avenues Street Fair, which takes place this year on Saturday, September 10th from 9:00 a.m. to 6:00 p.m. The 2022 Avenues Street Fair will be held on 2nd Avenue between F and L Streets, in Salt Lake City beginning with a Children’s Parade. All kids, families, grandparents, and pets are welcome. Costumes encouraged! Meet at 2nd Avenue and L Street at 8:45 a.m. to be in the Parade.
In addition to 200+ artists and vendors, the Avenues Street Fair will also feature live music on two stages and a staggering array of culinary temptations for foodies of every age and type. This is the one summer event you won’t want to miss!
Gracie’s Farm Roots Dinner @ Blue Sky
The Gracie’s Farm Culinary Series at The Lodge at Blue Sky continues on Tuesday, September 6th with a special Roots Dinner. Cocktail hour is from 6:30 to 7:30 with dinner from 7:30 to 9 p.m.
Here is what the good Executive Chef Galen Zamarra and the good folks at The Lodge at Blue Sky have to say about this unique culinary experience: “A truly beautiful and earthly part of our diet. Under-appreciated, root vegetables are prized on Gracie’s Farm. When the temperatures begin to cool, roots are tender and sweet, as the sugars within the plant begin to concentrate. The versatility and nutrition of root vegetables are qualities to be celebrated. For this dinner, we will pull several varieties of root vegetables from our Heart and Soil field. We will appreciate the colors as we cut into them, discovering the beauty and contrast between the earth and this root.”
The cost for the Roots Dinner is $95 plus tax & gratuity for the 4-course tasting menu and $75 for the optional Wine & Farm Cocktail Pairing. Book through the Blue Sky concierge by calling 435-336-6400.
