New Spring Happy Hour at Laurel

Despite the recent snows, warm weather is on its way and a perfect place to enjoy it would be on the patio or in the bar at Laurel Brasserie & Bar in the Grand America Hotel.  Offered every day in the bar from 3 – 5 pm, Laurel Brasserie & Bar’s Happy Hour includes bar bites at almost half price, perfectly paired with custom craft cocktails shaken by the skilled Laurel bartenders.

According to The Grand America, “Friends and family alike can split an order of flaky Pigs In a Blanket or crispy Arancini, each just $6, while cheers-ing to the week with $12 cocktails including the Bergamot & Grapefruit Spritz (Italicus Rosalio Di Bergamotto, Campari Grapefruit, Prosecco) and the Clover Club (Local Alpine Gin, Lemon Raspberry Preserves, Egg White).”

BTG Bergesio Collezione Wine Dinner

According to the talented winemaking team at Bergesio Collezione of Salamanca, Spain, “Mauro Bergesio had a dream when he first started to partner in a small parcel of grapes in the drastic mountains of southern Salamanca. He saw remarkable potential in the local grapes, and knew that with the right touch, something truly special could be born in a bottle. Mauro isn’t a winemaker because he is obsessed with the land, consumed by old and gnarly vines, and thrilled by the possibilities of what the land and vine can do. He seeks out only the greatest winemakers that have a unique and special touch for the grapes he grows, always keeping the integrity of the fruit at the forefront of importance.  With each project, he is able to convey his passion through a bottle that finds its way to a glass.”

On Tuesday, April 18th beginning at 7 p.m. BTG Wine Bar will host a special four-course wine dinner featuring Tempranillo, Rufete, and Old Vine Garnachas from Bergesio Collezione. In addition, Mauro Bergesio will be on hand to talk with guests about the wines being offered throughout the evening. The cost is $60/food and $60/wine – $120 per person. Call 801-359-2814 for reservations.
