Discover Wines of Slovenia @ Tea Zaanti

On Sunday, October 3rd, Becky, Scott and the staff of Tea Zaanti will host Michael Westhoff from Laureate Imports as he takes guests to Slovenia to discover some outstanding high-mountain wines from Krasno.

According to Tea Zaanti, “This communi-TEA event will introduce you to three wines unique to Slovenia – and they are only available via special order in Utah. Each participant will receive their own tasting flight and will finish the experience with an additional glass of their choosing. Light charcuterie will also be provided.”

“Michael, of Laureate Imports, just recently returned from The Goriška Brda region in Slovenia’s ‘Tuscany’, bordering Italy, “brda” simply means hills and is part of the Collio Region of Italy that extends into Slovenia. The most ancient and most provocatively rewarding of Collio’s and Brda’s wines are the golden whites based on the Ribolla Gialla (or, in Slovenian, Rebula) variety. Michael will share stories and photos from his trip as we learn about these special heroic wines. This is sure to be a unique experience to try something new that you can’t find on the shelves of our local liquor stores!”

Weather permitting, the event will be held on the beautiful Tea Zaanti patio. Tickets are $35-$45. For additional information and to purchase tickets online, click here
