R.I.P. Kitty Pappas
Longtime local foodies were saddened to hear from her son, “Crazy George,” of the recent passing of Kitty Pappas, whose venerable namesake Kitty Pappas Steak House Cafe in Woods Cross has been family run since Kitty and her husband opened the restaurant in 1947. George said that his mom asked for “no service/funeral, but in the coming weeks we’ll have a celebration of life.”
Red Banjo at 60
Congratulations to Tana Toly and her family. She is co-owner of Park City’s Red Banjo Pizza, which celebrates its 60th year in business this summer. Red Banjo opened in 1962.
“What a privilege it has been for four generations of our family to serve Park City for the last six decades,” said Tana Toly. “Since 1962, we have endured and thrived through the community’s evolution from silver mining town to international ski mecca. We look forward to continue tossing pizzas for locals and visitors well into the future, wherever that may lead.”
