Since many family members and friends won’t be traveling to join in-home Thanksgiving feasts this year, a good option might be to just let the pros do the cooking. A number of great local restaurants will be open for dine-in service on Thanksgiving 2020, and some are also offering meals to take home. Here are some excellent choices.
In Park City, Bill White’s Windy Ridge Cafe will offer a Thanksgiving To-Go menu with an online ordering system and convenient curbside pickup. Your takeout meal and baked goods are fully cooked and ready to reheat and serve with warming instructions included. Order pick-up is only available on Wed 11.25.20, and all orders must be placed by Sat 11.21.20. Windy Ridge’s Turkey Dinner Meal for 4 ($48) features Sliced House Roasted Turkey, Stuffing, Mashed Potatoes, Pan Gravy, Mixed Greens Salad and Dinner Rolls. Choose from an array of sides like Yams, Sauteed Green Beans and Cranberry Sauce. The Windy Ridge Bakery also offers a scrumptious selection of fresh baked pies, desserts, quiche and more.
Fletcher’s in Park City is also offering Thanksgiving Dinner To-Go. Fletcher’s Thanksgiving menu provides two proteins including roasted turkey and mushroom stuffed beef tenderloin, one salad, three sides to choose from like caramelized Brussels sprouts, mac and cheese, and squash & sweet mini pepper saute, and one dessert such as pecan pie, Fletcher’s famous butter cake, and Marina’s world-famous carrot cake. All orders come with 1/2 quart of cranberry chutney, six cheddar chive biscuits and bacon jam. $60 per person, 4 person minimum per order. How about a FREE Thanksgiving Dinner in Park City? The long time tradition of the annual Free Turkey at No Name Saloon begins at 2:00 p.m. This year No Name is unable to offer a buffet, so instead they will plate up your delicious turkey dinner and serve directly to your table! Dine-in only. If you are craving one of No Name’s Famous Buffalo Burgers, their full regular menu will be available for purchase once the free turkey has been enjoyed.
Up in Deer Valley, Deer Valley Grocery-Cafe will offer a Take-Away Menu with take-away items to complement your Thanksgiving dinner, including lemon thyme sauce, cranberry chutney, roasted garlic mashers, roasted heirloom carrots, green bean au gratin, and roasted apple stuffing. Place orders by 5 p.m. on Monday, November 23, and pick up orders by 3:30 p.m. on Wednesday, November 25, at the Deer Valley Grocery-Café. Up in Millcreek Canyon, Chef Dave Jones and the Log Haven staff will be dishing up a 4-course plated Thanksgiving luncheon from 1:00 to 5:30 p.m. ($58.95/adults; $30.95 children ages 3 to 12). The meal will begin with a Butternut Squash Arancini with sage cream amuse-bouche followed by a second course choice of Wild Mushroom Soup with parmesan crumble or Savoy Spinach with maple vinaigrette, smoked bacon, walnuts and dried cranberries. Entree selections include Citrus-Herbed Brined Turkey; Maple-Pommery Mustard Glazed King Salmon; Hy-Plains Beef Filet; or Mushroom Ragout with wild rice pilaf. For dessert there’s Pumpkin Pie with whipped cream; Pecan Pie; or Pumpkin Spice Pot de Créme. In addition, Log Haven will offer Thanksgiving To-Go with curbside pickup. Fleming’s Prime Steakhouse & Wine Bar invites guests to celebrate Thanksgiving “with our traditional-style Herb-Roasted Turkey or turn heads with our Filet Mignon – complete with housemade stuffing, rich turkey gravy, ultra-velvety mashed potatoes, tangy cinnamon-orange infused cranberry sauce and more.” The three-course menu starts at $49 per guest and Fleming’s regular dinner menu will also be available all day. The restaurant opens early on Thanksgiving, at 11 a.m. In addition Fleming’s will offer a three-course Thanksgiving Family menu for curbside takeout starting at $45 per guest.
At Rodizio Grill Brazilian Steakhouse, their special holiday menu will be served during dinner on Nov. 25 and 27, and all day on Thanksgiving, Nov. 26. In addition to Rodizio’s regular dinner menu, enjoy traditional Thanksgiving favorites including roasted turkey, stuffing, sweet mashed potatoes and more. Thanksgiving Day pricing is $38.99 per adult and will feature the holiday menu plus select desserts included. Tuscany restaurant will feature a traditional Thanksgiving Dinner menu which includes choice of soup or salad, fresh herb-roasted turkey, honey-glazed ham, traditional rosemary turkey stuffing, baked sweet potatoes with maple pecan butter, garlic mashed potatoes, fresh roasted autumn vegetables, cranberry-orange chutney, house-made pies: pumpkin, apple and pecen. The cost is $65/adults and $35 for children ages 12 and under. Thanksgiving at Tuscany will be served from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m.
The Garden Cafe Thanksgiving brunch at the Grand America is already sold out. However, you can enjoy the comfort of home with their Thanksgiving Takeout, available via online ordering, fully cooked and ready to serve. Little America Salt Lake’s Executive Chef, Bernhard Götz, will prepare a Thanksgiving dinner, complete with turkey breast, sides, and dessert. Your takeout meal is fully cooked and will be ready to serve with warming instructions included. Start with homemade Little America rolls and Mesclun Green Salad with Cucumber, Dried Cranberries, Candied Pecans, Shaved Pecorino, and Honey Apple Vinaigrette. Entrees choices are Slow Roasted Turkey Breast with Cranberry Chutney and Turkey Gravy or Herb-Crusted Prime Rib with Horseradish Cream and Au Jus. For sides, there’s Yukon Gold Potato Puree, Candied Sweet Potato Casserole, Country Bread Stuffing, and Haricot Verts. Dessert is pumpkin, apple or pecan pie. The cost for Thanksgiving Takeout at the Grand America is $89/2 people; $179/4 people; $340/8 people, tax and gratuity not included.
Probably the best Thanksgiving bang-for-the-buck – aside from No Name’s free turkey – is Thanksgiving Dinner To-Go from Cucina Wine Bar. For a mere $25 per person, Executive Chef Joey Ferran will cook Thanksgiving Dinner for you to take home, including Roasted Turkey, Mashed Potatoes, Stuffing, and Seasonal Vegetables. Now there’s something to be thankful for!
