Calling all bartenders! Get your cocktails ready …

It’s that time of year again: time for the Park City Area Restaurant Association (PCARA) Summer Cocktail Contest.

The PCARA’s annual summer cocktail contest is open to all bartenders and mixologists of any PCARA establishment.

Cocktail professionals are invited to submit their most innovative recipes to be included in this year’s Park City Cocktail contest. The winner will earn a $200 cash prize, city-wide recognition, and be featured in PCARA marketing efforts following the contest.

“Every year, we are fortunate enough to taste so many unique cocktails we are sure can’t be topped, and our talented mixologists continue to do just that,” PCARA executive director Ginger Wicks said.

“The contest motivates Park City’s talented staff behind the bar to push their creative limits and participate in some friendly competition—while guests get the chance to enjoy each and every sip served.”

Last year’s Park City Cocktail contest winner was Mixologist Trevor Brown from historic Main Street’s Tupelo restaurant, who earned the coveted prize with his Cherry in the Rye cocktail. The summer sipper mixed rye whiskey, ginger liqueur, a port reduction, lime juice, and club soda.

The official contest begins July 1 when locals and visitors can visit participating PCARA bars and restaurants and cast their votes online for their favorite cocktails.

Online voting will run through July 31 on the PCARA website, www.parkcityrestaurants.com.
