Utah’s 2024 Holiday Feasts: Christmas and New Year’s Dining Highlights

Celebrate the holidays in style with Utah’s finest festive feasts! From elegant Christmas dinners to dazzling New Year’s Eve menus, explore exceptional dining experiences to make your season unforgettable.

Most restaurants and many other businesses close for Christmas in order to give employees time with their families and friends for the holidays. But not all of them. If you’re looking to dine out on or around Xmas and New Year’s, here are a few options, including the Utah Stories Storytelling Contest on December 18th at Dali Crepes. Get tickets at Eventbrite. 

The Hyatt Centric in Park City is hosting a Christmas Eve Prix-Fixe Dinner featuring a robust salad, mains to choose from including Pan-Seared Sea Scallop, Wagyu Bavette Steak, or Mushroom Bolognese, and dark chocolate torte for dessert. $70 for adults, $35 for kids 5 – 12, free for kids under 5. In addition, they’ll offer a Christmas Day Buffet with prime rib and ham carving stations, accompaniments of seared salmon, Brussels sprouts, mashed potatoes, broccolini & baby carrots, veal bratwurst stuffing, pimento mac n cheese, wild rice & sweet potato hash, salads, artisanal cheese, and decadent desserts including apple pie crème brulee, marble swirl cheesecake, gingerbread cupcakes, and more. $99.75 for adults, $50 for kids 5 – 12, free for kids under 5.

Savor a special NYE menu at Purple Sage of chicken tamale pancakes, iceberg lettuce wedge salad or tomato and green chile soup, an entrée of halibut, braised buffalo short rib, or butternut squash ravioli, and house made butterscotch pudding from our sister restaurant Café Terigo’s famous bread pudding. $145 per person.

Tuscany offers a four-course Christmas Eve dinner priced at $100/adults; $70/kids 12 and under. Entrees include Wagyu Short Rib, Tagliatelle Duck Carbonara, Grilled Australian Lamb Chops, or Pan-Seared Nantucket Scallops.

Grub Steak’s New Years Eve dinner will include a choice of House, Caesar Salad or Wild Rice & Mushroom Soup.  Entrée includes Beef Wellington with a choice of Baked Potato, Mashed Potato, Creamed Spinach, Prospector Rice or French Fries.  Dessert includes a choice of Chocolate Lava Cake or Fresh Berries. $89.75 per person.

Franck’s offers a Christmas Eve dinner this year ($140/adults; $55/children 12 & under) with menu items such as Yorkshire Pudding, Caramelized Grouper, Wagyu Beef Cheek Bourguignon, Hot Candy Cane Cream, and more. 

Hill’s Kitchen is offering a Christmas Eve Dinner to go serving 8 guests ($345).  Dinner includes Niman Ranch Rib Roast, Fennel & Herb Crusted Salmon, Glazed Beet & Treviso Salad, Alpine Swiss & Gruyere Potato Au Gratin, Haricot Vert Almondine & Dried Cranberry Roasted Fennel & Winter Squash.  Sides include Roasted Butternut Squash Mac & Cheese, Cheddar Biscuits with Honey Butter, Honey Roasted Caraway Carrots, Two Dozen Pancetta Devis Eggs and Caesar Salad.

At Fratelli Ristorante in Sandy, owners Dave and Pete are offering Christmas Lasagna to enjoy at home – meat or vegetarian. A half pan feeds up to 12 people ($65/meat or $55 vegetarian) and a full pan feeds up to 28 people ($130/meat and $110/vegetarian).  

The Mariposa at Deer Valley Resort will host New Year’s Eve dinner, a luxurious 4-course dinner including a Laurent Perrier Champagne pairing to ring in the new year. Festive NYE party favors and valet parking are included. $90 per person. 

Bambara restaurant will host a Christmas brunch on December 25th from noon to 6 PM. The special holiday menu includes a Seafood display with marinated crab claws, shrimp cocktail, oysters, lemon, house hot sauce and mignonette; Duck confit croquettes with smoked onion mustard; Prime rib with horseradish crème fraiche and beef jus; Pastrami ham leg with orange honey glaze and pastrami spice; and Intermountain mushroom risotto with oyster and trumpet mushrooms and parmesan, in addition to regular Bambara favorites. $100/adults; $50/children. 

Current Fish & Oyster will offer guests a four-course New Year’s Eve tasting menu ($95 pp) with main courses ranging from Mahi Mahi or Seared Scallops, to Filet Mignon Romanesco or Roasted Acorn Squash.

Tickets are now on sale for The Spur Bar & Grill’s NYE celebration. $275 per person for festivities in the back bar and $225 per person in the upstairs bar. 

On Monday, December 23rd at 5 PM, Join Deer Valley’s pastry pros for a festive time decorating a personalized gingerbread house. With a cup of hot cocoa in hand, gingerbread dreams come to life with an array of frostings, candies, confections, and cheer. $72 per person.

The folks at Flanagan’s in Park City are offering a traditional 3-course Thanksgiving feast – for Christmas! “Start with butternut squash leek soup or honey crisp salad, followed by turkey and homemade mashers, brown gravy, stuffing, green beans, and cranberry sauce. Save room for bourbon bread pudding served with vanilla ice cream. The Christmas menu will be available 12/23 – 12/29 for $50 per person. The regular menu and kids’ menu will also be available.”
