For beer lovers, there are a couple of enticing beer events on the horizon – a Beerfest at Woodbine and Beer & Chocolate Pairing at Shades Brewing, both taking place on Saturday, June 10th. Here are some details.

What’s better than chocolate? Beer AND chocolate! From 7 to 9 p.m. on June 10th Shades Brewing will host a unique Beer & Chocolate Pairing event for guests 21 and over. Here’s what the organizers from Shades Brewery have to say. “Fun fact: The science behind beer making and chocolate making isn’t as different as you would think!

Come meet Shades owner and Brewer and the Chocolate Makers from Aggie Chocolates at USU and learn how the making of their chocolates and our beers is similar. You will be served a sampling of Thistle & Rose chocolates to be paired with Shades Beers.” The ticket price ($30) includes lecture and chocolates. Beer flights will be sold separately.

On June 10th from 1 to 8 p.m. at Woodbine Food Hall, the Utah Brewers Guild and Strong Volkswagen will present Beerfest: Wild West Collab Fest with “all styles, mashuups, and outlaws welcome.” The event will bring together the best of Utah’s craft brewers at Woodbine in Salt Lake’s Granary District. Here are details from the organizers: “This event is open to all ages, with free admission for children 12 and under and $10 admission for ages 12 and up without a tasting pass. A tasting pass is required to consume alcohol on-premises and is available for $25. For those looking for an enhanced experience, a VIP ticket with a tasting pass and early entry is available for $55. Ticket prices increase to $30 and $65 on the day of the event. Street parking is available on 700 South and parking lot in back off 800 South.”
