Beehive Distilling’s New Bar Bites

The Beehive Bar at Beehive Distilling has launched a new food program to accompany their award-winning craft cocktails. It’s an eclectic menu with Mexican-Fusion leanings.

There are three different slider options on the new menu: Al Pastor Jumbo Slider (Marinated Pork, Grilled Pineapple, Cilantro Ranch, Oaxaca Cheese), Carne Asada Jumbo Slider (Ground Beef, Salsa Verde, Pico de Gallo, Pepper Jack Cheese), and Tofu Jumbo Slider (Korean BBQ Glaze, Pickled Vegetable Mix). All can be made gluten free with a lettuce wrap or rice bao bun.

Other menu items include a Pork Belly Bun, Vegan Potato Tacos, Churro French Fries, and a “Smacked” Cucumber Salad.

Eat Drink SLC Returns

Eat Drink SLC – one of Salt Lake City’s premier annual food and drink events – returns in person this year and it will be bigger and better than ever, with two back-to-back evenings: September 14th and September 15th at Tracy Aviary. Each event features a different selection of food and drink partners. And, each year a community organization benefits from the net proceeds of Eat Drink SLC. This year’s beneficiary is Women of the World.

There are more than 20 food partners participating in Eat Drink SLC 2022, ranging from Oquirrh, Beehive Cheese Co. and Pretty Bird to Stanza, Nomad Eatery, and Cucina. And there’s an even larger selection of drink partners this year, from Utah purveyors like Waterpocket Distillery and Ogden’s Own, to Baobab Wines, Adelsheim Vineyard, Rutherford Wine Co., and dozens more.

The cost per person for Eat Drink SLC (21 and over) is $100 and includes food, drink, and a complimentary signature event wine glass. For tickets, click here

Pinkbox Comes to St. George

This Saturday, August 13th, the grand opening of Pinkbox Doughnuts in St. George will take place with a festival-style grand opening party that is sure to be the event of the summer, complete with games and activities the entire family can enjoy. The famed doughnut brand boasts a one-of-a-kind menu featuring over 70 rotating doughnuts (and a special Utah-themed doughnut).

According to the folks at Pinkbox, “Doughnut lovers and locals alike can look forward to a collectible grand opening t-shirt giveaway, live performances from St. George Children’s Musical Theater, a face painter, balloon artist, an appearance from the brand’s resident mascot, Pinky, and much more. The ambitious doughnut lovers can enter in the live doughnut eating contest to win the prestigious clout of top doughnut eater in St. George, along with a Pinkbox gift card and cool merch. During the event, if a lucky guest bites into a pink ticket while noshing on a doughnut, they will win a year’s supply of Pinkbox doughnuts.” The grand opening event takes place from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 938 E. St. George Blvd.
