Expanded Hours & More @ Flanker

Flanker Kitchen + Sporting Club at The Gateway has expanded its dining hours with food service extended until 11:45 p.m. on Fridays and Saturdays and has also added Saturday brunch with service from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m., launching on March 12. Flanker already hosts a Champagne brunch party every Sunday.

“Since opening our doors in December, we’ve been invigorated by the excitement surrounding Flanker Kitchen + Sporting Club’s innovative offering and becoming a staple of Salt Lake City’s dining and nightlife scene,” said Flanker Kitchen + Sporting Club parent company Carver Road Hospitality’s Chief Marketing Officer Bryan Bass. “We’re thrilled to expand our offerings to continue the momentum and welcome even more of the community to enjoy our multi-concept venue.”

The Flanker folks added, “Accompanying The Gateway’s St. Patrick’s Day parade and celebration on March 12, Flanker Kitchen + Sporting Club will offer an Instagram-ready green eggs and ham sammy as a special brunch item. Additional Irish-themed menu items will be available on select evenings through March 17.”

Beltex = Sensational Sandwiches

Beltex Meats is well known for its high quality whole animal butchery products, but did you know they also make and sell ripping good sandwiches daily utilizing some of their meats? Yup.

For example, on Saturdays Beltex makes killer Cubanos until they run out. Each day features a different sandwich. On Thursdays it’s their amazing Chicago style Italian beef giardiniera and on Fridays there are porchetta sandwiches to be had. Sundays feature a pork roll with egg and cheese on an English muffin. So if you’re a sandwich lover, Beltex Meats should be high on your hit list. They serve sandwiches only until they sell out, and they always do.

Goldener Hirsch Snow Picnics

Deer Valley’s Goldener Hirsch luxury mountain retreat is now part of the Auberge Resorts Collection, which also includes Blue Sky in Coalville. Along with fine dining and apres ski at the Goldener Hirsch restaurant and morning and midday snacks from the Goldener Hirsch Cafe & Veranda, the folks at the inn also offer intimate snow picnics in front of a bonfire with decadent chocolate and Glühwein.
