Cucina Wine Dinners Announced

If there are more enjoyable wine pairing dinners than the ones hosted by owner Dean Pierose at Cucina Wine Bar, I’ve yet to find them. They are typically boisterous events with fabulous food from Chef Joey Ferran paired with top-notch wine selections where, by the end of the night, strangers have become fast friends.

The wine dinners at Cucina always sell out in advance, so you’ll want to jump on the chance to reserve a spot for the just-announced November wine dinners at Cucina, which will take place on Thursday, November 5th and Wednesday, November 11th. For reservations, call 801-322-3055.

New Airport Wasatch Brew Pub

A brand new Wasatch Brew Pub location is scheduled to open later this month at the newly updated Salt Lake City International Airport, in the B Terminal. Squatters – which is part of the Salt Lake Brewing Company – opened a new pub in the A Terminal, recently as well.

According to the folks at Wasatch Brewery, “The new Wasatch Brewery location will have fresh menu items and cold beer for travelers, along with snacks, grab-and-go items, and original beers like Wasatch Apricot Hefeweizen, Polygamy Porter and the newly released Great Deceiver Imperial Pilsner. Wasatch Brewery plans to independently staff and operate the new airport location.”

Senior Marketing Manager Maxwell Christen said, “The Wasatch Brewery family is truly grateful for the opportunity to share food and drinks with people all around the world who visit our state!”

Wine Down Wednesday @ EPICure

Wednesday evenings are special at EPICure Fine Food & Drink in Midvale. That’s because in addition to live tunes supplied by the talented Ryan Miller, guests (21 and over) can enjoy a Wine Down Wednesday 3-course dinner with wines paired with each course for a mere $40: $30 for the 3-course dinner and $10 for the optional wine pairings.

Starters include organic mixed green salad and tomato-basil bisque, while entrees include lemon-Dijon chicken, sweet potato salmon cakes, marinated flank steak, and Thai ramn. For dessert there is Meyer lemon white chocolate mousse, affogato, or New York cheesecake. Optional wine pairing include Cline Zinfandel, Hogue Riesling, Bonterra Chardonnay, Angeline Pinot Noir, Segura Viudas Cava, and others. The Wine Down Wednesday menu is offered every Wednesday through October.
