Oasis Cafe’s New Bloody Mary

This month Oasis Cafe in Salt Lake city introduced a number of new menu items to the food lineup there, as well as some new libations.

One such new kid on the block is the bodacious

House Made Bloody Mary

I say “bodacious” because this Bloody is more or less a vegetarian meal hidden within a cocktail.

There’s a virtual grocery-store produce section that goes into making the Bloody Mary mix, including red and green bell peppers, Roma tomatoes, red onion, lemons, garlic, and jalapeños.

Those are all roasted for half an hour at 350 degrees and then blended to mix with Hidden Vodka, poured into a cocktail glass, and garnished with lime and lemon wedges, olive, pickle, and pepperoncini—Whew!

So the next time you’re admonished to “Eat your veggies!” I’d say that a helping or two of Oasis Cafe’s House Made Bloody Mary should provide a heap of healthy daily vitamins, and taste fabulous to boot.
