Raspberry Gin Rickey @ Garage on Beck

Great libations, excellent food, live music, and the friendly, top-flight staff is pretty hard to find all under one roof. That is unless you visit the Garage on Beck in North Salt Lake.

With live musical artists that range from our own beloved Joe McQueen to nationally known performers like Bill Kirchen, the Garage is a must for music lovers of all stripes.

And recently, Chef J. Looney – formerly of Metropolitan restaurant, among others – took over the kitchen duties and is raising the bar for the Garage’s bar food.

Whether it’s his Nashville hot chicken sandwich, killer fish & chips, or a rib-sticking dish like smoked meatloaf, a great cocktail to sip alongside Looney’s food is the Raspberry Gin Rickey.

It’s a light, summery drink that’s perfect for enjoying out of the deck at the Garage: a scrumptious blend of Old Tom Gin, raspberry puree, lime juice, simple syrup, and a splash of sparkling water. Other tempting Garage on Beck cocktails include the Spikeberry Lemonade, Ward 8, Palama, and the zippy Jalapeño Margarita. Salut!
