Bodegas de Santo Tomás was founded over 135 years ago, shortly after the founding of the city of Ensenada, Baja California.
Guests for the evening will enjoy a five course, prix-fixe dinner with wine pairings from Bodegas de Santo Tomás with each course. The menu and pairings look like this:
The first course is Ahi Tuna & Shrimp Ceviche paired with Misión Tinto, 2021, followed by Smoked Pork Shank Tamales with Cabernet Sauvignon, 2022. Course number three is Paloma Sorbet, followed by Seared Scallops with grilled poblano & tomatillo, paired with Misión Blanco, 2021. The fifth course is Garlic & Cilantro Marinated Flank Steak with serrano papas bravas, chimichurri, and Cabernet Sauvignon, 2020. For dessert there will be Suspiro Limeno Chocotorta with Manjar Blanco caramel, Italian meringue, raspberry cinnamon port reduction, and Carajillo.
The cost per person for the Bodegas de Santo Tomás wine dinner at Stanza is $125 ($80/food and $45/wine pairings), plus tax and auto-gratuity.
