SaltFire’s New Mobius Trip Release
SaltFire Brewery in South Salt Lake just introduced the first release from Foeder #2: Mobius Trip Farmhouse Brett Saison. According to the brewers at SaltFire, “We started brewing into this 30 hectoliter oak vessel we sourced from a winery in Germany over 2 years ago and the beer it has produced is truly special and unique. A fruity aroma of mango skins, and dried fruit with some light barnyard funk you get from the best Brett beers. All aspects of the aroma follow through to the flavor with a clean inviting sour character. Soft tannins from the foeder help balance out the acidity turning this into a fruity, funky, extremely easy drinking brett saison we are proud to serve you.” Available now at the SaltFire tap room.
Oktoberfest @ Snowbird
Oktoberfest returns to Snowbird Resort for its 51st year, from August 12th through October 15, 2023, taking place every Saturday and Sunday, along with Labor Day. Oktoberfest is weeks of fun for the whole family, featuring activities, live music, traditional Bavarian fare, over 50 varieties of beer and an array of local vendors. Snowbird’s Oktoberfest attracts thousands of visitors each year, making it one of the largest festivals in Utah. Admission to Oktoberfest is free, though parking is $12 per car.
According to the folks at Snowbird, “The annual festival includes a biergarten offering an array of traditional German-style beers and those made by local Utah breweries, including Shades Brewing, Moab Brewery, Bohemian, Uinta and Squatters. Save a few dollars on beers by reusing your previously-purchased, 1-liter Snowbird Oktoberfest beer stein or mug. Or buy a new mug, keep coming back every year and start a collection. For other libation options, visit the outdoor bar at The Forklift. Oktoberfest food choices include select German favorites such as bratwurst, weisswurst, sauerkraut, apple strudel, spaetzle, beef rouladen, pretzels and Bavarian roasted almonds. Beer and food are purchased à la carte.”
