Over at Flanker Kitchen + Sporting Club in The Gateway, they are celebrating Spring with a new, fresh cocktail menu, dynamic dance parties, and the immersive Paradise Parlor Tiki lounge located in their speakeasy parlor.

Over at Flanker Kitchen + Sporting Club in The Gateway, they are celebrating Spring with a new, fresh cocktail menu, dynamic dance parties, and the immersive Paradise Parlor Tiki lounge located in their speakeasy parlor. Plus, the patio is officially open nightly with the addition of a new outdoor bar. Guests can choose from a dozen outdoor tables including a lounge area with firepits.

Flanker has unveiled a new seasonal cocktail menu created by famed mixologist, Francesco Lafranconi, who serves as VP of Beverage & Hospitality Culture for Carver Road. Guests have a wide variety of thirst-quenching options including the Dragonberry Mojito with Bacardi Dragon Berry and prickly pear puree, a Bobaloma with DeLeon Reposado with a splash of grapefruit, a Summer Sangria with Ketel One Peach and much more! Francesco Lafranconi, VP of Beverage & Hospitality Culture, said, “Summer is an opportunity to bring bright colors and fruit forward ingredients to our seasonal specialty cocktails. Working with our local team, our selection of summer cocktails features flavors like watermelon, mango and dragonberry but are well-balanced and not too sweet. They are perfect for sipping on our patio while overlooking the Olympic Plaza area as a respite from the tropical Tiki cocktails featured in the parlor.”

And the drinks will be flowing during the upcoming start of Summer events over Memorial Day Weekend at Flanker:

Saturday, May 27 – DESEO Latin Dance Party at Sunset, featuring: DJ Dirty Dave, DJ Steve C, and DJ Drew Music and the Expansion team. Come dance to Latin beats as sunset turns into dusk, and the nights heat up. Reservations are highly recommended.

Sunday, May 28 – White Party with music by bands Silent H and Dub Nectar. Kick off summer with South Beach vibes with a dress code that inspires memories of oceanfront nights on the coast. Live music will continue each Sunday for brunch into the summer season.

Additionally, Paradise Parlor is open for expanded hours and now includes Wednesday through Saturday evenings. The immersive space offers guests the perfect escape from everyday life, with colorful and clever decor along with thoughtfully crafted Tiki cocktail and bar menus.

Originally trained as an anthropologist, Ted Scheffler is a seasoned food, wine, and travel writer based in Utah. He loves cooking, skiing, music, and reading, and spends an inordinate amount of time tending to his ever-growing herd of guitars and amplifiers. Ted is also the author of the Utah Bites newsletter, which is published in partnership with Utah Stories. Before moving to Utah, Ted lived in New York City, and numerous states in the US, as well as in various countries overseas, Spain, Japan, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico.
