Mosketto Magic!

In recent years, the market for lower alcohol sparkling wines has been growing, as has the market for lower alcohol beverages in general. Before our warm weather departs and cooler temperatures take over , I suggest trying out some low alcohol frizzante (fizzy) wines from Mosketto winery in Piedmont, Italy.

These wines aren’t dry, but they aren’t super sweet either. There are three varieties available from Mosketto, all priced at a mere $12 msrp: Mosketto Frizzante Bianco, Mosketto Frizzante Rosato, and Mosketto Frizzante Rosso.

The Bianco is made with Moscato grapes, the Rosato with Moscato and Brachetto, and Rosso is made with Brachetto.

Despite the wine’s bottle label called Mosketto Frizzante Rosato “delicate sweet pink,” I found this to be a particularly enjoyable wine – slightly sweet and fizzy and a surprisingly good partner for pizza with spicy capicola.

Great for autumn picnics and other outings, these fun, fizzy Italian wines from Mosketto won’t weigh you down.
