May Events in Utah 2025: Art, Music, Rodeo, Plant Sales & More

Spring comes alive in Utah with a vibrant lineup of May events—from art-inspired dinners in Ogden to rodeos, concerts, plant sales, and film festivals. Whether you’re into live music, local food, or family-friendly fun, this month offers something for everyone across the state.

May 7

Contemporary Cuisine presented by Ogden Contemporary Arts. Held at the Monarch Royal Room, 455 25th Street, Ogden from 6pm to 9pm. This will be an evening of art and flavor with art inspired dishes, along with live music, curated cocktails and desserts. A silent auction will also be held for art, baskets, and local goods. Tickets are $150 and can be found at the Ogden Contemporary Arts web page under “Events”.

May 10 

The Flower Parade of Salt Lake City. Held at the International Peace Gardens, 1000 W 900 S, Salt Lake City. Vibrant floats will be on hand around the theme of “Once Upon a Time…” Featuring a parade, arts and crafts, and other activities. Free admission. Held from 10am to 2pm. 

May 10

Red Butte Garden 2025 Spring Plant Sale and Fundraiser. Featuring a big variety of herbs, specialty annuals, sun and shade perennials, ornamental grasses, roses, vines, shrubs, conifers, and trees. Also on hand will be heirloom vegetables, native, and water-wise plants. Free entry to the plant sale through the Amphitheater gates. Registration is not required for the Saturday entry.  

May 10

Tattoos and Talons Fundraiser presented by HawkWatch International. This event will be held at Moss Tattoo Studio, 1900 Washington Blvd Suite 102, Ogden. For each tattoo HawkWatch will receive 50% of the proceeds to conserve raptors and their environment. For more information and to book and appointment visit their website.

May 17

Farm Fest 2025 at Wheeler Farm. Farm Fest celebrates all things springs with a preview of the Wheeler Farm farmers market, wagon rides, house tours, vendors, food trucks, farming demonstrations, sheep shearing and more. Admission is free and will be held from 9am to 1pm. Wheeler Farm is located at 6351 S 900 E in Murray. 

May 17

Armed Forces Day Concert. Presented by the Choral Arts Society of Utah at the Gallivan Center, 50 E 200 S, Salt Lake City. This annual concert celebrates all military members past and present. Held outdoors at the Gallivan Center with music performed by Company B, the Choral Arts Society of Utah and the Utah National Guard 23rd Army Band. Free to the public

May 22 

International Packraft Film Festival. Presented by Utah Whitewater Gear at Fisher Brewing Co., 320 W 800 S. The festival highlights the adventure stories and films showing the sport’s potential in nature exploration. Held from 6pm to 9pm. Tickets can be purchased in advance for $15 and come with a free raffle ticket. This is a 21+ event.  

May 23

Salt Lake City and County Building Tour. Presented by Preservation Utah. This free one-hour guided tour begins with the base isolators beneath the building and ends in the clock tower above. Registration is required at the Preservation Utah website. 9:30am to 10:30am. 

May 23-24

Stetson Wright Invitational Rodeo. Two nights of a Bull Riding Showdown with Stetson Wright and his World Champion family.  Held in Mona, Utah on May 23rd and in Minersville, Utah on May 24. Advance tickets are available here.

May 24-25

Moab Arts Festival. Free Admission at Swanny Park, 400 N 100 W. Held on Saturday from 10am to 7pm and on Sunday from 10am to 6pm. This community celebration will include art, music, a kids art tent, food and a beer & wine garden.

May 26

Camp Floyd Days 2025. Presented by Camp Floyd State Park and Stagecoach Inn Museum, Cedar Valley. Experience camp life and participate in several activities that were performed by soldiers of Johnston’s Army. The event will also feature drill re-enactors. Visit the graves of soldiers. Artifacts from the museum will be on hand. This is a family-friendly event and will be held from 10am to 4pm. There will also be a vendor area. Museum entrance fee is $5 per person or $15 per family. 

May 30 to June 1

17th Annual Ogden Music Fest. This event sponsored by Ogden Friends of Acoustic Music will be held at the historic For Buenaventura, 2450 A Avenue, Ogden with a mix of well-known and up-and-coming artists. This is a family-friendly festival with camping on-site and jamming opportunities with mainstage artists, workshops, and kids activities. Tickets and more information here.

September 26-28 

Soul Essence Collective. The Collective is hosting an event in Moab at the Springhill Suites by Marriott. It will feature a lineup of speakers and activities, including guided tours, and a catered dinner with a presentation by MUFON (Mutual UFO Network) of Utah Director Dustin Eckelson about UFO and other unexplained activity in and around Moab. The mission of Soul Essence Collective is to “provide transformative experiences that nurtures the soul, fosters personal growth, and cultivates a deep connection with one’s inner purpose.” Tickets are currently on sale through July 18, 2025. Only limited tickets are available at their website. ”
