If you’re looking to get into the holiday spirit – perhaps with a craft cocktail or glass of wine – consider visiting the Holiday Cabaret at The Grand America hotel.

The folks from The Grand America say, “We’re thrilled to invite you to an enchanting Holiday Cabaret at The Grand America Hotel, featuring vocalist Bridget Elsabe Galanis and pianist Derek Purdy. Immerse yourself in an unforgettable night of holiday music, crafted to capture the full spectrum of seasonal ‘feels’.”

The Holiday Cabaret at The Grand America takes place in The Gibson Lounge on December 19, 20, 21, and 22, 2024. Enjoy exceptional music, delicious cocktails, and the joy of the season in a truly magical setting. Tickets are required to attend. Dinner is not included in the ticket price of $40 per person. Cabaret shows run from 6 pm to 8 pm.

In addition to craft cocktails such as the Sugar House Old Fashioned, Gibson Manhattan, Italicus Sour, and Modern Vesper, the Gibson Lounge offers sweet and savory bar bites ranging from house-made meatballs, cheeseburger, roasted turkey sandwich, and slow-braised boneless beef short ribs, to New York style cheesecake, salads and soups.

Ted Scheffler

Originally trained as an anthropologist, Ted Scheffler is a seasoned food, wine, and travel writer based in Utah. He loves cooking, skiing, music, and reading, and spends an inordinate amount of time tending to his ever-growing herd of guitars and amplifiers. Ted is also the author of the Utah Bites newsletter, which is published in partnership with Utah Stories. Before moving to Utah, Ted lived in New York City, and numerous states in the US, as well as in various countries overseas, Spain, Japan, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico. He earned a Master’s Degree in Anthropology from the Graduate Faculty of The New School for Social Research.
