Bites & Brews at Level Crossing

This note came from my favorite bread baker, Brent Whitford of Park City’s Red Bicycle Breadworks. He says, “Hey bread fans! Who likes beer?! Come join us for a beer and food tasting at Level Crossing Brewing this Saturday, March 9th. The fine folks at Level Crossing will be preparing some delicious foods featuring some of Utah’s finest food producers! We will be there with some of our regular breads as well as some specialty breads featuring spent beer grains as well as wild hops harvested here in Park City.”

In addition to Red Bicycle Breadworks, purveyors such as Beehive Cheese, Creminelli Meats, Rock Hill Cheese, Butchers Bunches, and Amour Spreads will be on hand.

The Bites & Brews “Craft of Charcuterie” event takes place at Level Crossing Brewing Co. (2496 S. West Temple, SLC) from 6:30 to 8:30 pm for guests 21+ only. Tickets can be found on Eventbrite.com.

4 New Eateries Open at The Local

The Local Eatery & Bar has announced four new culinary concepts that opened this week at their downtown Salt Lake City location. Diners will get to sample from a diverse selection of eateries, from Japanese to Mediterranean fare. The new concepts include:

Habibi serves up fresh Mediterranean & Middle Eastern fare, including warm pita bread freshly baked from a hearth oven and Middle Eastern favorites like savory Chicken Shawarma and mezze dips.

Enko Ramen:  Sip, slurp & savor authentic ramen and Japanese classics like Tonkatsu and Karaage Chicken Wings with a contemporary twist.

The Salt: A New York City-inspired Jewish delicatessen with delicious hot & cold sandwiches and soups. (The Salt’s Reuben is pictured above.)

Super Chingon is a Mexican taqueria offering a variety of menu options packed with flavor, including tacos, tostadas, quesadillas and agua frescas.

“Hospitality HQ is excited to bring four exciting new concepts that will be big on flavor and also offer a Chef’s take on familiar dishes like hot pastrami sandwiches and Middle Eastern shawarma bowls,” says Chef Akhtar Nawab, CEO of Hospitality HQ.
