Ghost of Gibson Lounge at Grand America

For the spooky season, Grand America Hotel is getting into the spirit by transforming their Gibson Lounge into “a ghostly affair from one’s Halloween dreams.” According to Grand America, “Named the Ghost of Gibson, the themed bar experience will run for the month of October, featuring ghoulish décor, spooky seasonal cocktails and plenty of photo opps.”

“Visitors can sip on frightfully fun potions and elixirs like Vampire’s Kiss, The Gravedigger and the Creepy Colada mocktail paired with fang-tastic menu items like Monster Meatballs, Goblin Gobbler Sandwich Haunted, ‘Ham’ Burger and Riga-Boney. Decked out in Halloween décor, it’s a must-visit for Salt Lake City visitors and locals.” For dessert, you might be tempted by the Are You Afraid of the Dark Chocolate Cake.

Park City Dine About

The 11th Annual Dine About Park City, sponsored by The Park City Area Restaurant Association (PCARA), will take place October 14-22, 2023 at 33 participating restaurants. According to PCARA, “Two-course lunches for $15, $25 or $30 per person and 3-course dinners for $30, $45 or $60 per person will be offered, allowing guests to support Park City’s award-winning restaurants at an incredible value.”

“We’re so excited about Dine About Park City’s return this fall, and PCARA members are ready to serve,” PCARA Executive Director Ginger Wicks said. “As locals, we are incredibly lucky to have so many esteemed restaurants right in our neighborhood, and Dine About provides a chance for us to show our love and appreciation for them feeding, fueling, and exceeding culinary expectations of our visitors all year round.”

A Beltex Thanksgiving

For many discerning food aficionados, a turkey or ham from SLC’s own Beltex Meats is a must-have for the holiday table. Well, good news: For the 10th year running, Beltex is offering customers their cider-brined and maple glazed hams as well as 72-hour brined turkey with garlic herb butter under the skin, roast ready.

Beltex sells out of their hams and turkey yearly, so if you want to reserve one head to the Beltex Meats website where you can make a deposit and place a pre-order for your holiday ham or turkey. ($50 non-refundable deposit required; the balance due at time of pickup.)
