Heber City based Bon Vivant Imports brings Utahns some of the most interesting wines from around the world, and from Spain, Portugal, Italy, Slovenia and France in particular. I always know when I’m at the wine store and I see a bottle with Bon Vivant’s label on it, it will be a good one.
Well, on Saturday, July 29th Hearth and Hill in Park City is partnering with Bon Vivant Imports and Spanish winemaker Esteban Celemin from the Duero for an exclusive one-night Spanish-inspired dinner with wine pairings. Hearth and Hill guests will enjoy five exclusive courses prepared by Executive Chef Casey Bayle and Executive Pastry Chef Chris Straughan with wine selections produced by Celemin’s winery.
Here is the wine dinner menu, from the folks at Hearth and Hill. “The night begins with Seared Ahi Tuna, served with a refreshing watermelon gazpacho, cucumber caviar, and delicate Marcona almond tuiles, paired with Verdeja Le Dicen 2021, a balanced, tropical white wine. The second course presents a classic Spanish delight: Salmorejo, a cold tomato soup made with ripe heirloom tomatoes, peaches, jamón, and fried leeks. This dish serves as a refreshing palate cleanser before the third course, a hearty Seafood Paella brimming with shrimp-stuffed eggplant, mussels, and chorizo. The final savory dish of the night is a succulent Pork Tenderloin, served with patatas bravas (spicy fried potatoes), Swiss chard, bright padrón peppers, and a red wine & coriander gastrique sauce. Of course, remember to save room for dessert—a delectable flan de elote— perfectly complemented by Vieira de Sousa Fine Tawny Port.”
Tickets for the Bon Vivant/Esteban Celemin wine dinner at Hearth and Hill are $140 per person, including the wine pairings ($80/food; $60/wine).
