Valentine’s Day Rosé

Valentine’s Day and, for that matter, any other day is a great day to sip Rosé wine from the South of France such as Minuty Prestige Rosé.

To me, it’s a no-brainer to sip pink wine on Valentine’s Day. And no, I’m not talking about White Zinfandel. But Valentine’s Day and, for that matter, any other day is a great day to sip Rosé wine from the South of France.

In February, particularly, we’re dreaming of warmer days ahead. So why not imagine you’re with your honey on the beach or at a seaside bistro in Saint-Tropez sipping Minuty Prestige Rosé

Château Minuty is located in Provence on a remarkable estate on the Peninsula of Saint-Tropez, overlooking the Gulf of Saint-Tropez, which benefits from a temperate maritime climate. According to the winery, “Château Minuty is surrounded by 60 hectares in a single block on schistose limestone soils, complemented by 80 hectares on clay-limestone soil in Vidauban and 20 hectares on the Valderian hillsides in Ramatuelle with a magnificent view over the Bay of Pampelonne.”

The great Rosé wines of Château Minuty are made from Grenache, Cinsault and Syrah, and the Provençal grapes’ character is an expression of power and finesse in Château Minuty Prestige Rosé. ”This vintage appeared over 25 years ago when Jean-Etienne and François Matton wanted to bring a signature wine to a wider audience of Provence rosé lovers with the perfect pairing of exciting aromas and light flavor,” say the winemakers.

Open a bottle of Château Minuty Prestige Rosé and you’ll discover delicate aromas of strawberries, melon and raspberries along with white peach and blood orange. The wine is crisp, citrusy and clean on the palate with nice minerality and acidity. I would recommend sipping it alongside oysters, shellfish, sushi, ceviche and such; it’s a slam-dunk as a perfect partner for treasures from the sea.
