Are you looking for something fresh, delicious and unique to serve guests during the holidays? Perhaps something lower in alcohol, lighter tasting, and lower in calories? I’ve got a suggestion: Plume & Pedal.

With the recent shift toward mindful drinking folks are turning to hard seltzers, spritzers and such. Plume & Petal ($19.99) is a collection of three new, premium vodka-based spirits with a light infusion of fruit, botanicals, tea and a hint of honey, while containing half the alcohol of a standard vodka. Plume & Petal weighs in at a mere 20% ABV (40 Proof).

The three Plume & Petal flavors are Peach Wave, Cucumber Splash, and Lemon Drift, each containing only 83 calories when served as a spritzer – that’s about 30% fewer calories than a typical glass of wine. And, Plume & Petal contains no artificial sweeteners.

I haven’t gotten my hands on the Lemon Drift variant to taste yet, but the Cucumber Splash is crisp and citrusy – really good mixed with club soda. Along with cucumber, there are hints of lemongrass and chamomile tea in the Cucumber Splash. As for the Peach Wave, I think it’s great just straight up, on ice. It’s infused with white peach, lavender and black tea flavors with hints of honey.

Plume & Petal would be terrific as an aperitif to serve to guests who drop by for the holidays, or any time for that matter.
