If you’re looking for a brew that brings a bit of holiday cheer in each bottle, I can heartily recommend Epic Brewing Company’s Big Bad Baptist Pecan Pie

According to the brewers at Epic, “With a nod to our Big Bad Baptist fans south of the Mason-Dixon, we’re taking on a southern classic dessert, the bourbon pecan pie. Brewed with cinnamon and pecans that pair perfectly with the bourbon & coffee notes of Big Bad Baptist, everyone from the east, west, north and south can skip the pie and pass the beer.”

Epic’s Big Bad Baptist Pecan Pie is part of their Rare Release series. Its malt profile is Marris Otter, 2-Row, Light Munich, Chocolate Malt, Black Malt, and Roasted Barley. The hops are Nugget, Chinook and Cascade, with these adjuncts: Imperial Stout aged in whiskey barrels with coffee, cacao, pecans, cinnamon and vanilla. It’s sold in 22 oz. bottles. I call it Southern charm in a bottle.
