High West Midwinter Night’s Dram v. VIII
Last week High West Distillery launched the eighth installment of its ongoing Midwinter Night’s Dram series – a limited release of High West Rendezvous Rye that is finished in French oak port barrels.
“We know autumn is upon us when it’s time to sip the latest pour of A Midwinter Night’s Dram,” High West Brand Manager Mark Erickson said. “Stoke the fire and pull a batch of sweet fig cookies from the oven to properly complement the complex layers of this robust spirit.”
“This blend of straight rye whiskeys aged in French oak port barrels is perfect for a cozy night in,” Master Distiller Brendan Coyle said. “We suggest sipping it neat to enjoy each and every sweet, rich, spicy note from nose to finish.”
New Thali Lunch @ Saffron Valley
The Saffron Valley restaurants located in Sugar House and The Avenues invite diners to “spice up your weekday lunch with a personal Indian buffet on a platter.”
An Indian thali meal consists of a variety of food items and dishes served on a single platter. It’s sort of a personal smorgasbord, Indian style.
The new thali lunch specials at Saffron Valley include a delicious sampling of appetizers, curries, rices, veggies, flatbreads, and other side dishes from different regions of India on a round platter. The thali menu changes daily. The price is a mere $12.99 each and a vegetarian option is also available. Available for dine-in only, Tuesday through Friday from 11 a.m. to 2:30 p.m.
