Stoneground & The Garage Return!
Fans – and there are many – of Stoneground Italian Kitchen and of The Garage on Beck, each owned by Bob McCarthy, will be thrilled to know that both establishments are now open serving curbside comfort food for takeout and safe-distance in-house dining as well. And, they now offer online ordering.
According to Bob, “We’ve adapted everything that carries really well for 20 minutes and have to-go boxes that are compostable and environmentally friendly.” For both The Garage and Stoneground, they created their own app where customers can actually see photos of the foods they’re ordering.
Main dishes from The Garage include smoked meatloaf, chicken pot pie, fried chicken, and Beehive chipotle mac ‘n cheese. The terrific Nashville hot chicken sandwich is available among the sandwich selections, as are an array of burgers, salads, soups, and starters such as the highly addictive candied bacon, and sides like baked beans, mashed potatoes & gravy, and roasted Brussels sprouts. Customer preferring to “eat-in” are offered safe-distance dining on the Patio from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. The Patio Bar is open until 1 a.m. daily.
As for Stoneground, it is open for “both lunch and dinner with safe-distance dining and a super-sanitized environment.” Or if you prefer, you can place an order and they’ll deliver it to your car. There is ample free parking in the rear of Stoneground. Menu items to dine in or take out include fresh pastas and pizzas made in-house, appetizers, soups, salads, and entrees such as chicken with sweet pea risotto; pork tenderloin with fried polenta; and wild Isles salmon with cauliflower, caponata, corn cream, arugula and citrus vinaigrette. Stoneground also has an outstanding wine list along with beer, cocktails and such.
Stayed tuned to Utah Bites in coming weeks as I’ll report on takeout fare from The Garage and Stoneground. Believe me, it’ll be my pleasure!
