With this week’s return to summer and accompanying scorching temperatures, I went looking for a good thirst quencher for sipping on the patio and found one. The brewers at Squatters have been cooking up a lineup of new and dynamic seasonal beers for Summer 2020 and one of my favorites is Squatters Juicy IPA, which comes in 12 oz. cans.

The team at Squatters sure got the name right, as this India Pale Ale is nothing if not juicy. It is a 5% ABV session-style India Pale Ale brimming with bright citrus flavors – orange, pineapple, lime and grapefruit – along with hints of peach and apricot. I would go as far as to call the flavors “pretty.”

However, those pretty, fresh-tasting fruit flavors are nicely balanced by this IPA’s bold and emphatic hoppiness, which provides a welcome bitterness that follows the beer’s nearly sweet fruit flavors. At 5% ABV Squatters Juicy IPA is an excellent warm weather brew that won’t weigh you down.
