Remember book clubs? Well, I suppose they’re mostly virtual now, due to COVID-19 social distancing. But hey, we can still all enjoy a good book while sipping some great wine, right?

Chalk Hill Estate Winery has the wine covered with the recently released Chalk Hill Chardonnay Sonoma Coast ($17.95). As for what to read while enjoy a glass of Chalk Hill Chardonnay, here are some suggestions from the Winery:

An American Marriage by Tayari Jones

“A book you won’t have to worry about finishing in time for book club, it is a gripping read that you won’t put down. The comforting aromatics of baking spices and warm apple pie on the nose of the Sonoma Coast Chardonnay will be a welcome break in the intensity of the book.”

Three Women by Lisa Taddeo

“I am certain you won’t have a shortage of topics to cover once you read this one. The wine will even help loosen everyone to discuss the intimate parts in more detail.”

What She Ate by Laura Shapiro

“Six famous women through the lens of food and cooking, give insights into their lives and our own. Since you can’t read this much about food without getting hungry, be sure to make some brown butter and sage gnocchi or another creamy dish to pair with the wine.”

Fermented in French, American and Hungarian oak barrels, Chalk Hill Chardonnay is richly elegant with vanilla, hazelnut and creme brulee flavors that pair beautifully with its apple pie aromas. Although it’s not particularly pricey, this Chardonnay drinks like a special occasion wine.
