Deer Valley Mountain Beer Fest This Weekend

This one-of-a-kind beer festival includes scenic chairlift access throughout the resort, outdoor dining, live music plus a full slate of additional family-friendly activities.

Sip and sample brews from twenty-four Utah breweries at the third annual Deer Valley Mountain Beer Festival on Saturday and Sunday, September 14 and 15, from noon to 5 p.m. This one-of-a-kind beer festival includes scenic chairlift access throughout the resort, outdoor dining, live music plus a full slate of additional family-friendly activities. “The Deer Valley Mountain Beer Festival provides an ideal opportunity for guests to experience Utah’s award-winning brewing culture up in the mountains,” said Deer Valley Resort Director of Beverage, Josh Hockman. “Beer enthusiasts and non-drinkers alike can enjoy a scenic chairlift ride, delicious summer food and beverage offerings, yard games and activities for the entire family.”

Please note that the venue can only be accessed by a chairlift ride on Silver Lake Express and all parking and check in will be at Snow Park Lodge. Attendees will have the opportunity to sample beer flavors and styles, including full-strength selections. Guests can sip and sample brews from around two dozen Utah breweries. Participating breweries include Bohemian, Kiitos, Heber Valley Brewing, Offset Bier, Proper Brewing, RoHa, Roosters, SaltFire, Squatters, Talisman, TF Brewing, UTOG, and many more.

Ticket packages range from $15 for non-drinker to $50 for General Admission and $90-$135 for Imperial Packages which includes a VIP BBQ.

Originally trained as an anthropologist, Ted Scheffler is a seasoned food, wine, and travel writer based in Utah. He loves cooking, skiing, music, and reading, and spends an inordinate amount of time tending to his ever-growing herd of guitars and amplifiers. Ted is also the author of the Utah Bites newsletter, which is published in partnership with Utah Stories. Before moving to Utah, Ted lived in New York City, and numerous states in the US, as well as in various countries overseas, Spain, Japan, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico. He earned a Master’s Degree in Anthropology from the Graduate Faculty of The New School for Social Research.
