Summer Happenings at Brighton

Brighton Resort Executive Chef Jeffrey Sanich reached out to me recently with an update on summer food and drink happenings at Brighton. There’s A LOT going on.

Among the updates, Jeff says “The Mt. Majestic Music Series has been successful in its second year now. Featuring Some of the best BBQ around created by Brighton’s Pit Master Dan Mcalister, local brews, local and regional live music, and some of the best views in the Wasatch. We operate this series every Saturday and Sunday all summer long.”

He adds, “Our first ever Campfire Cookout series is my favorite event. We are doing this monthly on Fridays and I believe it will become our signature event. My team and I prepare the entire meal over an open flame on the patio at Milly Chalet. Set against Mt. Millicent, the food is as good as it gets. Wagyu flank, Halal Chicken, Idaho trout papillote, and a huge bounty of summer veg and more.” Sounds fun and delicious!

Brighton’s Sunday Brunch at Milly Chalet recently changed from a grand buffet format to an a la carte menu. The brunch menu features unique offerings such as pancake-battered Monte Christos, Japanese souffle pancakes, pain perdu and more. Sanich told me that “Our new brunch menu features complimentary pastries baked fresh that morning from the Brighton Bakery, and every entree also comes with a rotating signature dessert made from scratch as well.” Reservations are recommended for Brighton’s Sunday Brunch, but walk-ins are welcome.

Chef Lee Anne Wong at Deer Valley

Tastes of the Hawaiian Islands arrive at Deer Valley Resort in August with exclusive dining experiences featuring Honolulu Chef Lee Anne Wong, owner of the renowned island-style brunch house, Koko Head Café.

“We are so honored to welcome Chef Lee Anne Wong for this summer’s finale of our Taste of Luxury Series,” said Deer Valley Resort VP of Food & Beverage Jacob Musyt. “Her inventive recipes and cooking methods will be showcased at three separate nights of 6-course dinners, as well as a special cooking class for foodies seeking a truly unique culinary experience.”
