Deer Valley Beer Fest Returns

This celebration of Utah breweries includes scenic chairlift access throughout the resort, outdoor dining, live music and a variety of family-friendly activities.

Deer Valley Resort toasts the return of the third annual Deer Valley Mountain Beer Festival on Saturday, Sept. 14 and Sunday, Sept. 15, from noon to 5 p.m. This celebration of Utah breweries includes scenic chairlift access throughout the resort, outdoor dining, live music and a variety of family-friendly activities.

“The Deer Valley Mountain Beer Festival provides an ideal opportunity for guests to experience Utah’s award-winning brewing culture up in the mountains,” said Deer Valley Resort Director of Beverage, Josh Hockman. “Beer enthusiasts and non-drinkers alike can enjoy a scenic chairlift ride, delicious summer food and beverage offerings, yard games and activities for the entire family.”

Mountain Beer Festival attendees will have the opportunity to sample refreshing beer flavors and styles, including full-strength selections. Guests can sip and sample brews from more than a dozen Utah breweries. Past participants have included Proper Brewing, UTOG Brewing, Bohemian Brewery, Shades Brewing, Kiitos Brewing, Talisman Brewing, Moab Brewery, Park City Brewing, TF Brewing, Squatters Wasatch Brewery, Uinta Brewing, Roosters Brewing Co., Salt Flats Brewing. Offset Bier and Mountain West Cider.

Ted Scheffler

Originally trained as an anthropologist, Ted Scheffler is a seasoned food, wine, and travel writer based in Utah. He loves cooking, skiing, music, and reading, and spends an inordinate amount of time tending to his ever-growing herd of guitars and amplifiers. Ted is also the author of the Utah Bites newsletter, which is published in partnership with Utah Stories. Before moving to Utah, Ted lived in New York City, and numerous states in the US, as well as in various countries overseas, Spain, Japan, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico. He earned a Master’s Degree in Anthropology from the Graduate Faculty of The New School for Social Research.
