Savor the Cocktail Contest

Mixologists and bartenders are invited to submit their most innovative cocktail creations using locally-sourced ingredients for the Park City Area Restaurant Association (PCARA) Savor the Cocktail Contest.

Entries for the contest are being accepted now through Friday, June 21, for the online contest that will run July 1 – 31.

The winner for Best Cocktail will be awarded a $500 cash prize, city-wide recognition, and additional PCARA marketing efforts following the contest.

In order to showcase Park City’s homegrown spirit, participants must use a minimum of two ingredients from local purveyors in their cocktail recipe submission. Contest applications are available at parkcityrestaurants.com and must be submitted to Ginger Wicks at gingerwicks@icloud.com.

Ted Scheffler

Originally trained as an anthropologist, Ted Scheffler is a seasoned food, wine, and travel writer based in Utah. He loves cooking, skiing, music, and reading, and spends an inordinate amount of time tending to his ever-growing herd of guitars and amplifiers. Ted is also the author of the Utah Bites newsletter, which is published in partnership with Utah Stories. Before moving to Utah, Ted lived in New York City, and numerous states in the US, as well as in various countries overseas, Spain, Japan, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico. He earned a Master’s Degree in Anthropology from the Graduate Faculty of The New School for Social Research.
