Hops on the Hill Returns to Stein’s

Stein Eriksen Lodge in Deer Valley has announced the return of their popular Hops on the Hill summertime food & drink series. The Lodge invites guests 21 and over to experience favorite beverages from local craft breweries and some of Chef Zane Holmquist’s best food pairings on the Flagstaff Deck on Tuesday nights throughout the summer.

Each evening features at least two breweries and the tentative lineup includes Squatters & Bohemian Brewery (July 11), Uinta & Bewilder (July 18), Offset Bier & Scion Cider (July 25), Salt Lake Brewing, Wasatch Brewery & Mountain West Cider (Aug. 1), Templin Family Brewing & Fisher Brewing (Aug. 8), and Level Crossing Brewing & Mad Fritz Brewing (Aug. 15).

The $80 ticket to these 21 and older events includes the food tasting and specialty beer tasting. A $40 “Food Only” ticket will be available for purchase at the door. Advance reservations are recommended as these events do sell out. To purchase tickets call (435) 645-6455.

Ted Scheffler

Originally trained as an anthropologist, Ted Scheffler is a seasoned food, wine, and travel writer based in Utah. He loves cooking, skiing, music, and reading, and spends an inordinate amount of time tending to his ever-growing herd of guitars and amplifiers. Ted is also the author of the Utah Bites newsletter, which is published in partnership with Utah Stories. Before moving to Utah, Ted lived in New York City, and numerous states in the US, as well as in various countries overseas, Spain, Japan, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico. He earned a Master’s Degree in Anthropology from the Graduate Faculty of The New School for Social Research.
