On Wednesday, November 30th, Stanza Executive Chef Paul Cafaro will team up with Javier Zunga & Piattelli Vineyards to host “A Taste of Argentina” wine dinner at Stanza Italian Bistro, beginning at 6:30 p.m.
Piattelli Vineyards produces award-worthy wines from Mendoza and Cafayate in Argentina. To wit, Piattelli recently received 10 ratings of 90+ from James Suckling for wine ranging from their 2018 Limited Edition Malbec (95 pts.) and Mendoza Trinitá Grand Reserve 2017 (93 pts.), to Cafayate Reserve Malbec + Tannat 2018 (91 pts.).
The dinner kicks off with Baked Provoleta: provolone, oregano, & red pepper crostini paired with Piattelli Rosé of Malbec.
The second course of the Taste of Argentina dinner will be Choripan: beef and pork sausage, chimichurri, sourdough baguette, and parmesan-truffle fries paired with Piattelli Malbec-Tannat 2019.
Course #3 is a Mojito Sorbet with Torrontés wine float, followed by a fourth course of Asado Argentino: grilled Wagyu short rib and flank steak with Yukon Gold gnocchi and Piattelli Vineyards Grand Reserve Malbec 2019.
For dessert, there will be Dulce de Leche Alfajor: sugar cookie, dulce de leche, chocolate, and espresso gelato, paired with Piattelli Grand Reserve Trinitá 2019.
