Here’s a fun event taking place over the next week: Oktoberfest at Bewilder Brewing Co. Following on the success of last fall, when Bewilder brewed up batches of German-style beers and offered Bavarian-inspired menu items, this year they’re pulling out all the stops and hosting a weeklong Oktoberfest at the brewery, from September 18th (the official start date of Munich’s Oktoberfest) through September 26th.
According to the good folks at Bewilder Brewing, chef Justin Field is temporarily replacing his regular food menu with “a full german food experience including Kartoffelpuffer, Currywurst, Radieschenbrot, Obatzdah, Schweinshanxe, Wiesswurst, Bierwurst, Roasted Chicken (Brathendl), Wienerschnitzel, Apfelsturdel, and more.” The brewery will also have German music, prizes and extended outdoor seating for guests.
Personally, I’m eager to get my mitts around a cold Altbier, Kolsch, or fresh Lager to enjoy with some brats and schnitzel. 21 and over, please.
