Stoneground Weekend Suppers To-Go
Stoneground Italian Kitchen is open for socially distanced in-house dining and dining on the beautiful patio. However, if you’d prefer to enjoy Chef Justin Shifflett’s killer cuisine at home, Stoneground now offers Weekend Suppers, available for pickup on Friday and Saturdays between 3 p.m. and 7 p.m.
Frankly, I was stunned by the price of last week’s Weekend Supper, which was only $49 for food to feed 4 people or more. What a bargain! The featured supper – they will change weekly – was a 2 lb. seasoned porchetta – pork tenderloin wrapped in a crisp, crackling skin of pork belly. You could add a generous portion of portabella mushroom & cranberry cream reduction, natural herb jus, or whole grain mustard & orange mostarda.
In addition, Stoneground also offers a la carte sides such as parmesan broccoli, house made guanciale peas, garlic roasted potatoes, creamy rosemary polenta, hot honey-glazed heirloom carrots, green salad, and more.
HSL Patio Open
Last week in Utah Bites I wrote about the terrific takeout/curbside cuisine available at HSL restaurant. I was especially impressed by the fried chicken – possibly the best I’ve ever had. You can see that article by clicking here.
I’m happy to report that this week the folks at HSL launched outdoor patio dining, although curbside takeout service and online ordering are still available, as well. Reservations are highly recommended for patio dining at HSL and can be made online via the HSL website or by calling 801-539-9999.
In addition, HSL’s sister restaurant in Park City – Handle – is planning to reopen in August. Stay tuned.
La Trattoria Di Francesco & The Lounge (Re)Open
Right before the pandemic closed down SLC restaurants for in-house dining in March, I had enjoyed a marvelous dinner with my wife at the brand new La Trattoria Di Francesco, a creation of the owners of the Sicilia Mia restaurant empire. La Trattoria is located at 15th & 15th in Sugarhouse in the space that was previously home to The Paris. It has been completely remodeled and is one of the most eye popping restaurants in the state. The word opulent comes to mind.
Well, I am happy to report that La Trattoria Di Francesco has reopened with social distant dining, both in the beautifully appointed dining rooms and out on the patio. In addition, there’s an all-new 21-and-over Lounge at La Trattoria which will offer special menus for lunch, all day tapas, and late night dining.
Stay tuned to Utah Bites for a thorough review of La Trattoria Di Francesco in the coming weeks.
