Utah February Fun Guide at hot springs
This place and others like it are special because there’s nothing better than a hot soak in nature on a cold day.

Hotspringing! There’s nothing quite as life-affirming as climbing out of a simmering geothermal pool into polar conditions while watching ice form on your body as you scramble madly for your clothes! Try it!

Utah February Fun Guide RIME at Deer Valley Resort:

Like a lot of folks in Utah, one of my favorite things to do is to ski the plentiful powder here. However, the skiing got even better with the addition of RIME at Deer Valley Resort: the world’s first ski-in/ski-out raw bar!

Utah February Fun Guide DJ at Sphere

My favorite thing about Salt Lake City is knowing there is always something new to do. My current favorite thing is to let loose and dance in a creative space called Sphere, 2950 W 500 S.

Utah February Fun Guide Ice Ribbon in Herriman City

Open for its second year is the Ice Ribbon in Herriman City. The outdoor ice skating track is the only one in the state and unique in the region. It won the best project award in 2017 from the Utah Chapter of the American Society of Landscape Architects. At night the ribbon features fire pits and food trucks.

My favorite Utah activities are Squatchin’ in the mountains and playing live music in SLC.

My favorite thing to do on a cold winter night in SLC was to go to the Organ Loft on Edison Street and lose myself in a silent movie, along with Blaine Gale on the Mighty Wurlitzer Organ.

Utah February Fun Guide snowshoeing up the canyons in the winter

I don’t ski, but I love snowshoeing up the canyons in the winter. It’s as breathtaking as wildflower season to move across snow through the meadows and pine stands under a bluebird sky. There is truly nothing quite like it.

Alison Lafazan

When cabin fever takes over in the winter, my husband, our border collie and I like to go snowshoeing. It’s great to get out in the fresh, crisp air for a day in Millcreek, Neffs or Lambs Canyon.

Katelyn Moss

Favorite thing to do: GO TO LAKE POWELL!!!! Easily. It’s the most impeccable place ever. If I could choose my favorite moments in life, they’re sitting on a houseboat in a beautiful canyon in Lake Powell.

A challenge to the $2 billion taxpayer funded Little Cottonwood Canyon gondola is in the works. What else could that much money be used for?
Gondola Works was the successful PR and marketing campaign that dazzled UDOT and UTA board members and gained the support of enough Wasatch Front Regional Council members to approve the overall $26 billion plan.

The overriding questions are, Why should we be putting so much energy into a $26 billion plan that only focuses on transporting mostly elite skiers up to our mountains? How does this massive investment help average Utahns?
