Easter Egg Hunts, Jazz in Ogden, Fallen Peace Officer Trail Ride and Utah Theater

April is blooming with community garden events, Earth Day events, Easter Egg hunts and Arbor Day celebrations.

April Easter Egg Hunts: Visit Coupons4Utah for a list of area Easter Egg hunts from April 7th to April 16th.

April 8th: Demo Day at Alta Ski Area. Celebrate Alta in April by attending Demo Day. Featuring demos from dozens of manufacturers along with apparel sales, music and more. Held from 8am to 5pm. Visit their website for more information and pre-registration.

April 12th: Jazz at the Station. Held at Union Station Grand Lobby, 2501 Wall Avenue, Ogden, from 7 to 8pm. Admission is free.

April 19th: Grow, Eat, Repeat Fundraising Event for Wasatch Community Gardens. Held at Squatters Pub Brewery, 147 W Broadway, Salt Lake City, at 7:30am. Enjoy coffee, juice and breakfast burritos made from locally sourced ingredients while learning how to support Wasatch Community Gardens’ efforts to promote urban gardening in the community. The event is free to attend, but is a fundraising event. Please RSVP by April 14th by emailing WCG’s Development Director, Lindsey Smith, or by calling 801-359-2658 ext. 13.

April 20th: Spring Fest – An Earth Day Celebration in West Valley. Held at the West Valley City Hall, 3600 S. Constitution Blvd., from 5pm to 8pm. Free outdoor family fun and kid’s activities with over 25 information tables with information about neighborhood building, yard care and recycling. Food trucks will be available.

April 22nd: Fallen Peace Officer Trail Ride in Moab. Open to the public, this ride honors 14 officers who have died in Utah. Visit their website for times and ride signup.

April 22nd: Castle Gate Outlaw Day – Historic Helper. Sponsored by the Western Mining and Railroad Museum, 73 S Main St., Helper, UT. The day starts with biscuits and gravy at the museum at 9am followed by Cowboy Poetry and other events..

April 28th: Arbor Day Celebration at Red Butte Garden. Celebrate Arbor Day at the Garden from 9am to 7:30pm with free admission. Due to support from Rocky Mountain Power, a full day of activities is offered along with a tree to take home while supplies last. With funding from the Salt Lake County Zoo, Arts, and Parks Program (ZAP), everyone can enjoy free admission.
