March 2023 Activities and Events in Utah

Here is a short list of events and activities taking place in Utah during the month of March 2023.

March 11

The 46th annual St. Patrick’s parade will be held at The Gateway, 18 N Rio Grande St. starting at 11am. This year’s theme is Shade of Green. After the parade, the Siamsa, or folk entertainment, will commence, with vendors, food, drink, and more.

March 11-14

Moab Skinny Tire Festival. Moab boasts some of the best road biking in the world with hundreds of miles of paved roads. The four-day festival will include rides through Arches National Park, Dead Horse Point State Park, and along the Colorado River. Register in advance here. a

March 18

Milky Way Panorama at Knolls, Utah. This event from Thomas Perry and UtahNightscape/Landscape Photography will be held at 3:30am on Saturday, March 18. Participants will be shooting a Milky Way Panorama at the Knolls OTV area. For more information and a map, visit their Facebook page. 

March 20

2023 Lecture Series with Dr. Alison Carter. Dr. Carter, anthropological archaeologist and assistant professor of anthropology at the University of Oregon, will present “Looking Beyond the Temples: The People of Angkor.” It will be held at 7pm at the Viridian Event Center, 8030 S 1825 W, West Jordan. This presentation is in conjunction with the Natural History Museum of Utah’s special exhibition, Angkor. The event is free but pre-registration is required.

March 22

Humane Society of Utah’s Annual Day of Giving. This event will be held at Craft by Proper, 1053 E 2100 S, Salt Lake City, from 7:30-9pm. Participants can make donations and join in for free trivia, raffle prizes, and more. 

March 25

Spring Beer Fest at Ogden Union Station, 2501 Wall Ave. Held inside the station from 4-8pm, the festival will feature local food, beers, and live music. This is a 21+ ticketed event. You can buy tickets in advance at ogdendowntown.com
