December 2022 Activities and Events in Salt Lake and Beyond

Here is a short list of events taking place in Salt Lake City and beyond during December 2022 ranging from Christmas concerts to pet events.

Ogden’s Christmas Village.

Daily Christmas Concerts on Temple Square through December 23

Temple Square Performances hosts daily choirs from schools and community organizations, as well as string, flute, guitar, and bell groups. Performances are held at the Assembly Hall on Temple Square, the Plaza Lobby of the Conference Center, above the Food Court at City Creek Center, and at the Church History Museum. 

December 9

Ashberry Jam at Ogden’s Christmas Village. From 6:30pm to 8:30pm, enjoy the music and lights at Ogden’s Christmas Village at the Ogden Amphitheater, 343 E 25th Street. 

December 10

5th Annual Toys for Tots Bar Crawl. Held from 4pm to 11:59pm. Bring a toy donation and your favorite holiday costume (both optional, but encouraged). Tickets are available at eventibrite.com. Participating bars include Twist, Echo Nightclub, Gracies, Green Pig Pub, and more. Toys will be donated to the local Toys for Tots program. 

December 15

2022 Eccles Broadcast Center Winter Food & Clothing Drive. Bring frozen turkeys, hams, and other food or clothing items to help Utah families in need this holiday season. Drive up to the tent in the parking lot of Eccles Broadcast Center, 101 Wasatch Drive, and EBC employees will unload your items. Monetary donations are also welcome and tax deductible. Held from 7:30am to 6pm. 

December 20

The North Pole at Barker Park. This free outdoor event is sponsored by North Ogden Parks and Recreation, Besst Realty Group, and Hunt Family Live Nativity, Inc. Held from 5:30pm to 8:30pm with live nativity performances at 6:30pm, 7:00pm and 7:30pm. There will be cookies, cocoa and visits with Santa and his reindeer. Located at 2705 N 550 E, North Ogden. 

December 31

Midnight Madness 5K. Race the clock and bring in the New Year. You can choose your start time with starts every 5 minutes from 11:15 to 11:40 to “Beat the New Year.” The race will be held around Sugar House Park. Those who finish before the New Year will receive an award. Pre-registration is $30 and day of race is $35. You can register here
