Pride Dinner and Block Parties Coming Soon, Salt Lake City

Tupelo Park City has reopened for dinner service. Stanza hosts a special Pride Dinner. You are invited to an upcoming Prospector Block Party.

Tupelo Reopens

Following a hiatus for spring break, Tupelo Park City has reopened for dinner service. Owners Matt Harris and Maggie Alvarez invite guests to join them for Tupelo’s globally inspired cuisine with a Southern twist and locally sourced ingredients.

Tempting dinner starters include Buttermilk Biscuits with Honey Butter; Sauteed Calamari with Pine Nut Romesco; and Smoked Trout Dip with House Pickles and Crispy Fry Bread. For entrees, there is Crab & Spring Garlic Pasta with Creamy Pesto; Grilled Iberian Pork Shoulder with Smoked Cheddar Hominy Grits, Collard Greens, and Fermented Honey; Roasted Idaho Trout with Pea & Ham Ragout, Lemon Braised Potatoes, and Carrot Vinegar, plus much more on the Tupelo menu.

Stanza Pride Dinner

Stanza Italian Bistro & Wine Bar invites guests to join them on Wednesday, June 14, at 6:30 p.m. for a special Pride Dinner to celebrate Pride Month. It’s a seven course, prix fixe menu priced at $120 per person – tax, gratuity, and alcohol not included.

The Pride Dinner kicks off with a Seared Scallop amuse, followed by Gulf Shrimp & Charbroiled Oysters. The third course is Duck Confit Tamales, and then an intermezzo of Pomegranate Sorbet with Fresh Kiwi. Course number four is Lobster Ravioli, followed by Grilled Hanger Steak. Dinner wraps up with Meyer Lemon Curd with Filo.

Prospector Block Party

With the support of the Prospector Square Property Owners Association (PSPOA), Salt Box Eatery and Catering, Este Pizzeria, Clockwork Cafe and Pretty Bird invite neighbors and the local community to an upcoming Prospector Block Party. Kick back to live music by the Dana Williams Duo and indulge in fresh BBQ and tacos from Salt Box, New York style pizza from Este Pizzeria and Pretty Bird’s famous hot chicken. Parking will be available at Salt Box and Este parking lots. The PSPOA Block Party is on Saturday, June 10th from 4 to 8 p.m. on Berrett Lane behind Salt Box and Este Pizzeria.

Ted Scheffler

Originally trained as an anthropologist, Ted Scheffler is a seasoned food, wine, and travel writer based in Utah. He loves cooking, skiing, music, and reading, and spends an inordinate amount of time tending to his ever-growing herd of guitars and amplifiers. Ted is also the author of the Utah Bites newsletter, which is published in partnership with Utah Stories. Before moving to Utah, Ted lived in New York City, and numerous states in the US, as well as in various countries overseas, Spain, Japan, Canada, Brazil, and Mexico. He earned a Master’s Degree in Anthropology from the Graduate Faculty of The New School for Social Research.
