March 8 – 10
Moab’s Poison Spider Spring Thaw. Head to Moab for the 11th annual mountain bike event. This is a mountain biking demo event with rides, skills clinics, food, demos, and parties. Click here for more information.

March 9
Volunteer Fair & Open House at Red Butte Garden. Meet the Red Butte Volunteer crew leads and learn about volunteering opportunities. For anyone 14 and up. They are looking for garden docents, summer camp & youth programs help and horticulture and special event volunteers. This event will be held from 11 am to 1 pm. March 9
Sand Hollow Marathon and half marathon. This race is in Hurricane, 20 minutes outside of St. George. The Full Marathon and Flat & Fast Marathon will start at the Hurricane Rec Center, 100 West State Street. All the courses finish here as well. The Hill Challenge requires transportation to the start. March 16
41st Annual Salt Lake City St. Patrick’s Day Parade. Celebrate St. Patrick’s Day with the Hibernian Society of Utah. The parade starts at 10 am at 200 S 500 E. Visit the website for more information.

March 18 – 23
Ogden Nature Center 26th Annual Birdhouse Competition and Exhibit. Bring your birdhouses with a completed entry form to Ogden Nature Center, 966 W 12th Street, Ogden, between March 18 and March 23 between 9 am to 5 pm Monday-Friday and 9 am to 4 pm Saturday. No entry fee required and two entries per participant. Visit the website for more information and an entry form.

March 24 – 30
Heber Valley Dine About. Did you know that Heber Valley has over 30 non-chain restaurants? Including Snake Creek Grill, Spin Cafe, Belle’s Bakery, and others. This March 25 – 31 is your chance to get out and experience local with great lunch and dinner specials. Look through the special Dine-About menu, decide what sounds good for lunch and dinner then just head out to the restaurant. No tickets or coupons are necessary. Click here for menus and venues.
