1,000 protesters gathered on Saturday in front of the LDS Church office building to show their opposition to the Church’s same sex policy. TheChurch’s new policy states that they will not recognize the children of same-sex married couples as members of the Church of Latter-Day Saints until they are 18 and only if the children of same-sex couples disavow the practice and recognition of same-sex marriage. Protesters believe this policy to be anti-family and discriminatory.

A similar protest called “The Utah Rally for Love, Equality, Family and Acceptance” is set for next Saturday in the same area.

Gondola Works was the successful PR and marketing campaign that dazzled UDOT and UTA board members and gained the support of enough Wasatch Front Regional Council members to approve the overall $26 billion plan.

The overriding questions are, Why should we be putting so much energy into a $26 billion plan that only focuses on transporting mostly elite skiers up to our mountains? How does this massive investment help average Utahns?
