Activities

November 2 – December 17
Glass Art Show at Red Butte Garden Visitor Center, 2155 Red Butte Canyon. The Glass Art Guild of Utah presents its 18th Annual show of kiln work and blown glass. Large and small pieces including garden art, decorative boxes, plates, trays, bowls, sculptural works, and jewelry pieces will be on display and available for sale. Visit here for more information.

November 9
Moab Art Walk. Pick up a postcard at any ArtWalk destination and have it punched at all nine locations for a chance to win a prize. Turn in the full punch card at your final art destination to enter. The Fiery Furnace Marching Band will play throughout the night. Visit their website for participating locations.

November 13
Wild Wednesdays at the Ogden Nature Center, 966 W 12th Street in Ogden. Join them for their annual celebration of Veterans Day as they discuss the history of this holiday. The resident bald eagle, Des Ta Te, will be on hand to honor veterans. Free admission for veterans and current military members. Meet in the Visitor’s Center at 3:45 for this event.

November 22
Chocolate, Cheese and Beer Tasting at We Olive in Trolley Square. The Chocolate Conspiracy, The Raclette Machine, Proper Brewing Co, Mountain West Cider, SaltFire Brewing Co, and Talisman Brewing will be on hand for an evening of chocolate, cheese, beer, and cider. Sample some of the best artisan products Utah has to offer. The event will sell out so purchase tickets in advance at Eventbrite.

November 30
Utah Santa Run. The race begins near 22nd Street and Washington. The Ogden Santa is the original Utah Santa Run and will be followed this year by the Ogden Holiday Light Parade and Lighting of the Ogden Christmas Village. Santa suits are included with registration and there will be milk and cookie aid stations along the route. Check here for more information and other race venues.

November 27
Visit the Gallivan Center, 239 Main Street, Salt Lake City for an evening with Daniel Tselyakov Piano Quintet. The concert starts at 7:30 pm and runs to 9:00 pm. All concerts are free to the public. Visit the Excellent in the Community website for additional concerts and dates.
