Utah Healing Center

Utah Healing Center was started by Janet Nimer Wilson, LCSW over twenty years ago. It began as one of the first trauma treatment centers to incorporate Facility dogs in their interventions. Flower was trained by Canine Companions for Independence and assists with EMDR, TF-CBT, Play Therapy, and many other types of treatment. Janelle Nimer, PhD, LCSW received a three-year doctoral fellowship focusing on Veterinary Social Work. Combined Janet and Janelle have over 40 years of experience working with children, adolescents, and adults achieving their therapeutic goals.

Today Utah Healing Center assists patients in overcoming trauma with their clinical team and their in-house animals.
