Fun Activities

April 13 – 14
Spring Bonsai Show at Red Butte Garden. Held Saturday, April 13 from 9 am to 5 pm and Sunday, April 14 from 9 am to 3:30 pm. Discover Bonsai, the Japanese art of growing miniature trees in containers. Members of the Bonsai Club of Utah will exhibit different bonsai styles and arrangements and offer demonstrations. Trees and tools will be available for purchase. Visit the website for more information.

April 13 – 21
Moab’s Easter Jeep Safari. Presented by Red Rock 4-Wheelers this is a chance to discover the beauty of Moab and the surrounding areas on guided trails. You can pre-register and sign up for events here.

April 16
Cowboy Poetry at the Weber County Library, Southwest Branch. Cowboy Poetry Week is held during National Poetry Month and celebrates the voices of the working West through the stories of cowboys, ranchers and western writers. The performance will be held April 16 from 6:30 pm to 8 pm at 2039 W 4000 S, Roy. Free admission.

April 17
Women’s Entrepreneurial Conference – Harnessing the Power of Social Media and Digital Advertising. The conference will be held from 8 am to 4 pm. All profit from the annual conference is reinvested back into women-owned businesses through grants to help fund growth. The conference will be held at Holladay City Hall, 4580 S 2300 E. April 20
Eggs Legs 5K. This race ends in an Easter Egg Hunt. The 5K course starts in Gardner Village and runs along the Jordan River Parkway Trail System. This course is out and back and almost 100% flat. For more information and to register for the race visit their website.

April 20
Earth Day at the Ogden Nature Center. Held from 11 am to 4 pm with an admission charge of $4 per person ages 3 and up. There will be fun and educational activities, booths featuring green gurus from all over the state, demonstrations, food trucks, nature crafts, live entertainment, and more. Explore the trails and learn what you can do to improve the health of the planet. Ogden Nature Center is located 966 W 12th Street in Ogden.

April 20 – June 15
Woodland Fairy Festival at Gardner Village. Find the fairies at Gardner Village with tiny houses and bitt scenes in the center court area and around every turn. Follow the A to Z Fairy Quest, Wishing Bridge, Find you Fairy Name game, Fairy Tea Parties and other activities hosted by the local shops. Gardner Village is located at 1100 W 7800 S
