Mountain West Cider and Red Rock Brewing present The Garten, an outdoor patio reminiscent of an old-world German beer garden, with a modern twist. Officially opening on Thursday, May 24th, The Garten located at 417 N. 400 W., will be hosting the Salt Lake City Chamber for Business After Hours from 5-7pm. The event will feature at ribbon cutting at 4pm, live music from the Will Baxter Band, food from Tacos Hidalgo, and games like giant jenga and corn hole.
The Garten will be open select weekend dates throughout the summer and fall of 2018, and will feature live music, local food trucks, and featured local spirits such as Five Wives Vodka, Salt City Vodka, Waterpocket Distillery, Sugar House Distillery, New World Distillery, and Outlaw Distillery, among others.
Live music will be from 6-9pm most Friday and Saturday nights, and 11am-2pm for Sunday brunch. The Garten will feature bands and artists such as Nathan Spenser Review, Tony Holiday, Michelle Moonshine, Backyard Revival and more. Local food trucks such as Shylo’s Mobile Café, Gerlach’s, Melty Way, Havana Eats, Café India, UMAI, Normal Ice Cream and more to be announced, will provide a place to grab a bite to eat in an otherwise sparse restaurant and food area.
The Garten will be the go-to summer spot to relax, enjoy local craft beverages, and food trucks in the Marmalade District of Salt Lake City. “We partnered with Red Rock Brewing to create a fun, easy-going place for people to experience all the area has to offer. The Garten was designed to bring together the community and make a strong, positive impact on the neighborhood,” said Jennifer Carleton, co-owner of Mountain West Cider.
Due to overwhelming success at past festivals and events, Mountain West Cider and Red Rock Brewing are looking forward to a successful collaboration this 2018 season and in years to come.
All ages welcome. Only those 21+ will be served alcohol. Dogs are also welcome on the patio. Water will be available. Cover charges range from $0-$5 and will be noted on the website, in advance.
