Activities from Moab to Ogden to welcome the Fall.

Fall-Leaves-beautiful-AutumnOctober 1 through October 31, 2014: Gardner Village WitchFest. Tour the grounds and see the displays for free. Kids 12 and younger can complete a witch scavenger hunt and receive a chocolate chip cookie at Neighborhood Bakery for 35 cents. 1100 E. 7800 S., West Jordan.

 

October 4 – November 1, 2014: Provo Cycling Ghost Tours at Joaquin Park, 400 E 400 N, Provo, Utah. Discover Provo’s haunted houses and folklore. Participants meet no later than 10 pm at the park. $10 per person with discounts for groups.

 

October 9-10, 2014: Dinosaur Festival at the Moab Information Center, 25 E Center Street, Moab, and the Museum of Moab, 118 E Center St. Events are free, but donations are appreciated. October 11, 2014: All Heart Boxing Foundation Zombie 5K at Liberty Park in Eden, Utah. Registration starts at 10:00 am. For more information visit www.allheartboxing.com

 

October 17, 2014:  Pumpkin Festival at the Gateway. Sponsored by Utah Foster Care, the whole family is welcome to decorate jack-o-lanterns and learn more about helping children in foster care. The event will be from 11:30 to 2:30 near the fountains. In the case of rain it will be held at the Union Pacific Depot Grand Hall.

 

October 24-25, 2014: Creatures of the Night at the Ogden Nature Center, 966 W. 12th Street in Ogden, Utah. The cost is $6 per person/$5 for Nature Center members. Held from 5 to 8 pm. Come and meet live owls, snakes and spiders and enjoy trailside tales, a campfire, games and more. This is an outdoor activity so dress appropriately.

 

October 26, 2014: Kirkin’ O’ Th’ Tartan (Gaelic for “Blessing of the Tartans”) at the First Presbyterian Church on 12 C Street SLC. The Salt Lake Scots Pipes & Drums will perform along with the choir, organ and brass. 9:00 am and again at 11:00 am.
